What are Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules?Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules are a food supplement in the form of vegan soft capsules. The capsules contain a solubilized frankincense extract produced by Alpinamed in Switzerland, hemp seed oil, and vegan vitamin D, beta-carotene, vitamin C, and E.

Why do Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules contain vitamins D, C, E, and beta-carotene?Vegan vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage. Beta-carotene is the most important precursor of vitamin A in foods and is therefore also referred to as provitamin A. Unlike vitamin A, excessive intake of beta-carotene cannot lead to vitamin A hypervitaminosis. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. Mucous membranes are found, for example, in the gut. Vitamin E protects the sensitive capsule contents from oxidation and helps protect body cells from oxidative stress.

How are Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules dosed?Adults take 1 – 3 capsules per day with some liquid (short-term use: 3 capsules, long-term use: 1–2 capsules). The capsules can be taken all at once or spread throughout the day, ideally during or shortly after a meal. People with swallowing difficulties can also open the capsules (cut or pierce) and mix the pasty capsule contents with other foods. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose.

Can Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding? Can Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules are a food supplement. Supplements should be taken as long as there is a need for the nutrients they contain. As a contribution to normal bone function (vitamin D), cartilage (vitamins C and D), and mucous membranes (vitamin A), the capsules can be taken as needed without a time limitation.

What distinguishes Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules from other products?Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules contain a full extract of Indian Boswellia serrata resin, produced in Switzerland. Other frankincense tablets or capsules may contain only ground resin of unknown origin or frankincense extracts with unspecified boswellic acids. Alpinamed does not declare the boswellic acids due to their conditional relevance. Because frankincense resins and powdered products dissolve poorly in the digestive tract, Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules contain a pre-dissolved frankincense extract. This is also referred to as «solubilization.» To improve solubility, Alpinamed uses a special technique without polysorbate emulsifiers, with valuable plant phospholipids.

Why do Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules contain excipients?Selected excipients are used in the production of Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules. These excipients (e.g., vitamin E and rosemary extract) protect the sensitive hemp seed oil or are needed to produce the vegan capsule shell. All excipients are approved by Swiss authorities and comply with the EDI regulations on permitted additives in food.

Do Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules contain known allergens? The product does not contain any ingredients that, according to the Swiss Food Information Ordinance (LIV), could trigger allergies or other adverse reactions.

How should Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules be stored?Store Alpinamed Frankincense Capsules out of reach of small children, in a dry place, protected from light, at room temperature in the original packaging.
