The microalga Chlorella (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) is one of the oldest life forms on Earth. It naturally occurs in lakes, rivers and bays. The vitality of the Chlorella microalga is enormous. Within 24 hours it can multiply up to fortyfold. For Alpinamed Chlorella tablets, Chlorella microalgae are cultivated under hygienic conditions in fresh spring water and gently dried.
Chlorella microalgae have a high affinity for heavy metals and other harmful substances. Therefore, comprehensive quality control before and after processing is particularly important.
