A long-standing idea becomes reality. For a limited time, Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules are available as a Swiss Edition featuring Swiss saffron from Thurgau. This has been made possible by a special collaboration that is currently unique in the Swiss market.

An idea that was given time to grow
For many years, Alpinamed had wanted to use Swiss saffron in Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules. We have therefore been in contact with a saffron grower from Thurgau for several years. Until now, however, the quantities available were too small to use this valuable raw material in a special edition of our own.

This year, for the first time, the saffron harvest was large enough for us to acquire some of the saffron grown in Thurgau. This allowed us to realise an idea that had been close to our hearts for a long time: the limited Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules Swiss Edition featuring Swiss saffron became a reality.

The saffron is grown in the canton of Thurgau and harvested by hand. After harvesting, the precious saffron threads are carefully plucked with tweezers, dried and prepared for further processing. At Alpinamed, they are then gently ground into a fine powder and incorporated into the Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules formula.

A proven formula meets Swiss saffron
The Swiss Edition continues to be based on the proven Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules formula, with saffron extract from Iranian saffron, turmeric root extract, magnesium, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid.

For the limited edition, 5 mg of the saffron extract is replaced by finely ground saffron threads from Thurgau. The crocin content remains at the same proven level. In this way, the Swiss Edition combines our existing formula with a carefully selected regional raw material from Switzerland.

Magnesium and vitamin B6 contribute to normal psychological function, the normal functioning of the nervous system and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Alpinamed Safran Gold Capsules are manufactured in Switzerland by Alpinamed.

The reason we can only now produce this edition is the limited availability of Swiss saffron. Harvesting is labour-intensive, carried out by hand and depends on conditions in the field each year. The number of Swiss Edition packs that can be produced is therefore only known after the saffron harvest in autumn. The decisive factor is how much Thurgau saffron was actually harvested.
